IRVINE, Calif., (Sept. 1, 2008) - Superior Crankshaft, a manufacturer of crankshafts for the racing industry, attended the NASCAR Sprint Cup/Pepsi 500 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on Sunday. Employees of the company took a bus out to the race track at 9 AM from their production facility in Irvine to cheer for their customer's teams during the race.
"It was a great race to watch and it was fantastic to have the whole company out on a weekend not only to get to know each other a little better outside of work, but to see how passionate our guys are about their crankshafts that are racing in the teams' cars" said Cheryl Archer, Superior Crankshaft's CEO.
Southern California native Jimmie Johnson took first place during the Labor Day weekend race, making it his third consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup title.
